There's a common misconception with ADHD that the treatment plan is:

  • Go to the doctor

  • Get a diagnosis

  • Take medication (and somehow remember to take it every day!)

  • Voilà! ADHD SOLVED! 

But there are so many more options. It's not black and white. For example, many women with ADHD do not take stimulant medication for various reasons, myself included (I tried several that just didn't work for me).

And you don't need a medical professional to confirm for you that you're neurodivergent — if you're self-diagnosed, you can start working with your ADHD now (and in fact you are, since you're here putting the work into this very course).
